French Polynesia Expenses: Tahiti and Moorea

As you probably know by now, we’re pretty obsessed with French Polynesia, especially our new friend Moorea. Before spending 3 nights in Moorea, we spent one night in Tahiti. In case you’re curious how much we spent, here are our expenses for our second visit to French Polynesia. Costs are in USD and include both of us.

Total: 77

Duty free alcohol from Tahiti airport: 21.29
Groceries: 50.39

Things to Note

You’re probably thinking, HOLY COW I didn’t realize French Polynesia was so affordable! The thing is, we saved a ton of money by redeeming points at the Intercontinental Moorea (read our review of the hotel here). It would have been a LOT more expensive if we paid for our hotel there, especially if we wanted an over-water bungalow.

All of our activities (snorkeling, kayaking, SUP) were included with our hotel, which was awesome.

We also saved a ton of money by only eating at one restaurant once, grocery shopping, and purchasing duty free alcohol.

*We estimated on the taxi fees since we paid in cash.
