The A380 is a massive plane. It is the worlds largest passenger airliner. This allows airlines to have some really great first class products in these planes given how much space they have. I have not yet flown on an A380 but I am looking forward to it. I decided to dig in a little bit to find the 3 cheapest redemptions to get you flying first class in an Airbus A380.
1. 31875 Miles: Singapore Airlines, Hong Kong-Singapore
While his may not be the best redemption given how short the flight is, this redemption comes in as the cheapest for flying first class on an A380. You will need just 31875 Singapore miles. You can transfer points to Singapore from Chase Ultimate Rewards, American Express Membership Rewards, Citi ThankYou Points, and SPG points, making this the easiest redemption to achieve on this list by far. You can search for and book this flight with the Singapore search engine. Singapore Airlines has a fantastic A380 first class product that they call Suites Class.
2. 40000 Miles: Etihad Airways, London-Abu Dhabi
Etihad has an amazing first class product on their A380 planes. The call it an Etihad First Apartment. I plan on taking this flight at some point next year and am really looking forward to it. For this redemption, you will actually have to redeem American Airlines miles. American charges 40000 miles for a one way award between Europe and the Middle East. To search for award availability, you must create an account for Etihad Guest account. Once that is completed, you can begin searching for award space and if you find any space that has “Guest First” space, that is a seat you can book with American miles by calling American.
3. 50000 Miles: Thai Airways, Bangkok-Tokyo (or Osaka)
This could be the cheapest redemption depending on how you look at it. The miles we are going to use here are Air Canada Aeroplan miles. Aeroplan does not allow a one-way award here so this price will be a round trip price, whereas the other options on this list are for one way flights. To get Aeroplan miles, you can transfer both American Express Membership Rewards points and SPG points. You can search for and book these flights with the online Aeroplan search engine. Thai Airways calls their first class product on their A380 plane Thai Royal First. You will need 50000 Aeroplan miles to book this award.
